It had been five years since my last piano album. I was scheduled to minister at a women's retreat toward the end of the year and really wanted to be able to give each lady in attendance a tool that they could use in their devotional times. One afternoon I asked the Lord to direct me to 12 scriptures that I would use as the basis for the recording.
About a week later I set up my keyboard and began to record. Much like I did with my earlier album, Simply Trust, I'd look at the scripture verse and play "what it made me feel" and then move on to the next one. Within about an hour the project was finished. I decided to utilize the strings and guitar sounds on my keyboard for some variety.
