Our desire is to extend the Father’s LIFE to the world around us in a variety of different ways. Outside of the church walls, we feel we have a specific calling to minister to the lonely and forgotten.

We want to be obedient to the call in James 1:27 to “look after orphans and widows in their distress.”

Grief Recovery Ministry

We encounter grieving people on a daily basis - Chris, as a Chaplain and Personal Care Associate at a local funeral home, and Lisa, as a Relief Funeral Director. Yet, death is not the only loss that people grieve. People grieve all kinds of changes in their lives, from divorce or the loss of a loved one, to a move or change in health or job status. In 2021, the Lord led us both to pursue certification as Specialists to be able to provide The Grief Recovery Method program to individuals and groups locally and online. Learn more here. We also occasionally facilitate a Grief Share group in our local church.

Benevolence Ministry

Through the miraculous provision of our Lord, ProvidingLIFE has often had funds to share with needs that He brings before us. Here are a few examples of how God uses ProvidingLIFE to financially bless others:

  • Supporting missionaries and blessing pastors.
  • Providing grocery and gas gift cards to those needing a little extra help for a season.
  • Assisting widows and parents who have lost children with funeral expenses.
  • Providing housing and vehicles for women coming out of abuse and getting their lives on track.
  • Providing financial assistance to single parents.
  • Supporting other Christian Ministry's projects and outreach events.

Men's & Women's Retreats

ProvidingLIFE has the amazing opportunity to partner with other ministries in providing Christian retreats for both men and women in our area. The main purpose of these retreats is to build disciples and to strengthen the local church.

Nursing Home Ministry

ProvidingLIFE financially supports various projects and resident's needs at several nursing homes in our area. We also enjoy visiting nursing facilities and retirement centers throughout the United States offering hymn sing-a-longs, worship services, and lots of hugs and smiles. :-)

Music is a powerful ministry tool. Nothing is more exciting than to see an alzheimer's patient join us in singing an old hymn, and amazingly remember every word of the song.

Juvenile Prison Ministry

While we are no longer physically visiting juvenile prisons on a regular basis, ProvidingLIFE has been able to continue to pour out God’s love and provision to incarcerated juveniles with financial support and the purchasing of much needed supplies. We’ve maintained our contacts with individual Juvenile Justice facilities and the Epiphany Ministries of Texas to help support their existing programs.
